Overview

In-app advertising is a major source of income for many app providers, so it's important to track ad performance and revenue. The AppFollow Ad Revenue Dashboard helps you monitor and visualize the most important ad revenue metrics. Use this view in combination with other app analytics dashboards to easily track all your revenue streams in one place.

The Ad Revenue Dashboard currently works with Google AdMob data only. If you would like to track ad revenue data from a different source, contact our Support team to share your request.

Link Your Google AdMob Account

To view and track your ad revenue data in AppFollow, set up a Google AdMob integration by following these steps:

  1. In AppFollow, open the "Integrations List" section from the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. Select the app you want to integrate from the dropdown at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll down to "AdMob" in the list of integrations. Alternatively, use the search bar at the top of the page to search for "AdMob".
  4. Click "Add Integration".

  5. In the pop-up window, click "Link Google AdMob Account".
  6. In a new tab, sign in to your Google AdMob account.

    💡Make sure your account has access to AdMob Network Reports.
  7. Click on your profile picture to open your account settings and find your Publisher ID.
  8. Copy the ID and switch back to AppFollow.
  9. Paste the ID into the integration setup window and click "Next".
  10. Generate a Client Code through the "Click here" link and allow AdMob to access your Google Account.
  11. Paste the code into the field in AppFollow and click "Add Integration". Done!

As soon as the data is collected, you'll see it on the Ad Revenue page in AppFollow.


Available Metrics

Metric Description
Ad Requests The number of ad requests. The value is an integer.
Note: This metric is incompatible with the  AD_TYPE dimension.
Clicks The number of times a user clicks an ad. This value is an integer.
Ad Revenue The estimated earnings of the AdMob publisher. The currency units (USD, EUR, or other) of the earning metrics are determined by the currency localization settings. The amount is in micros. For example, $6.50 would be represented as 6500000.
Impressions The total number of ads shown to users. This value is an integer.
Impression CTR The ratio of clicks to impressions. The value is a double-precision (approximate) decimal value.
Impression RPM The estimated earnings per thousand ad impressions. The value is in micros. For example, $1.03 would be represented as 1030000.
Note: This metric is incompatible with AD_TYPE dimension.
Matched Requests The number of times ads are returned in response to a request. This value is an integer.
Match Rate The ratio of matched ad requests to the total ad requests. The value is a double-precision (approximate) decimal value.
Note: This metric is incompatible with AD_TYPE dimension.
Show Rate The ratio of ads that are displayed to ads that are returned, defined as impressions / matched requests. The value is a double-precision (approximate) decimal value.
